I work with brides from a wide range of East Asian backgrounds, including Chinese, Hong Kong, Taiwanese, Korean and Japanese heritage, who want makeup that enhances their features while lasting beautifully throughout a long wedding day. I also work with many other Asian brides from countries such as the Philippines, Nepal, Malaysia, Vietnam and Brunei who share many overlapping makeup concerns.
As someone who is half-Chinese, this work is both personal and professional. Alongside years of experience in luxury bridal hair and makeup, I bring a genuine understanding of East Asian facial features, skin behaviour and cultural expectations- allowing me to approach each bride’s look with sensitivity, confidence and precision.
My approach is calm, technical and tailored. I pay close attention to -Eye shape and lid structure, including monolids and hooded eyes -Undertone, texture and finish for East Asian skin -Lash and liner placement that enhances rather than overwhelms -Longevity for long wedding days, cultural ceremonies and multiple outfit changes
