In the middle of January 2020, I received an email from Emma asking if I could do her wedding hair and makeup at the stunning Lillibrooke Manor in Berkshire later that year. I jumped at the chance knowing what a beautiful setting this 15th Century Berkshire wedding venue would make.

Bridal Hair And Makeup In A Beautiful Berkshire Setting

The path was not entirely smooth along the way to Emma and Josh’s wedding day. Not long after we first connected the pandemic struck and the tough decision was made to delay until 2021. The long delay was absolutely worth the wait with the happy couple finally taking their vows surrounded by their many friends and family.

Emma was drawn to my natural style of bridal makeup so we were a great fit. I’m such a strong believer in brides showing off their natural beauty and looking like the best version of themselves on their wedding day.

To me, it’s all about accentuating and polishing rather than transforming them into someone who looks like a completely different person.

Emma has the most amazing long thick hair and was very keen on having a boho fishtail wedding braid.

We had so much fun at her bridal hair and makeup trial creating this look and planning what accessories would work best with it.

I have a huge selection of hair extensions available for my brides to hire but in this case, there was no need as Emma had more than enough!

As Emma was having her wedding hair pinned up we chose half up half down hairstyles for all of her bridesmaids along with soft radiant bridesmaids makeup.

Thank you to Kirstie Mackensie photography for capturing such beautiful images of them all.
