“Should I hire a hair and makeup artist for my photoshoot”, is a question I have seen being asked more and more often both in real life and on various social media platforms. As the trend for having lifestyle event photo shoots grow, so does the interest in hiring a hair and makeup artist for the shoot.

As 2020 saw the wedding industry grind to halt, with couples having to rearrange their weddings, a growing trend emerged of couples choosing to have wedding photography sessions to mark what should have been their big day.

Couples were choosing to put on that wedding dress or suit, and of course to help them look and feel amazing most were also hiring a hair and makeup artist for their wedding photography sessions.

However, it wasn’t just brides and grooms who were hiring hair and makeup artists for their photography session.

There was also an increase in people using a “glam squad” including hair and makeup artists to help them get ready for professional photos for work, personal branding photography sessions, family pictures, engagement photoshoots, couples photoshoots and of course advertising photoshoots as well.
