How long do trials last?

Bridal Hair and Makeup trials generally last around 3 hours.  Extended Bridal Trials are available for those looking to have Hollywood waves, second hair/makeup looks or if you simply are completely undecided on what look you want to go for and want to explore extra options.

Can I book you without having a trial?

Yes! It’s much better to do a trial as it makes it much less stressful on the day but for some people, it just isn’t possible to organise a trial – if this is the case I usually try and face time with you first so we can have a chat about ideas!

Will the makeup last all day?

Yes! All makeup applied is designed to last all day and have you looking flawless at midnight. For hot summers days you may wish to carry a translucent powder to stop any shine building up. It can also be handy to have a concealer on hand incase you get a little emotional during the ceremony. I do recommend buying your lipstick as it is likely that you will have to touch it up during the day!

I have really sensitive skin – will your products be okay?

I use products that are hypo-allergenic so they shouldn’t cause a reaction however if you have had problems in the past and have a product you know works well with your skin I am happy to use your product.

What brands do you use?

My makeup kit consists of premium brand products including Charlotte Tilbury, , MAC, Makeup Forever, Laurer Mercier and NARS

What is your refund policy if I am not happy?

If the client cancels the booking within 14 days of paying the 25 % deposit they will be repaid in full. If the client cancels the booking 14 days after entering their contract but more than one month before the event then the deposit will be forfeited and any expenses incurred as at the date of cancellation must be paid by the client, and those paid shall also be non-refundable.

If the client cancels their booking within one month or less of the event then the fees in full plus any expenses incurred as at the date of cancellation(less any monies paid) shall be due to the Hair and Makeup Artist.

In the event that the client is unhappy at their trial with their hair/makeup and wish to cancel their booking they must notify the Hair and Makeup Artist via email within 24 hours. If it is two months or more until the event date the client will receive back the deposit minus any  expenses incurred. In these circumstances the client is still liable to pay for the hair and makeup trial and any travel/parking costs even if they do not want to proceed with using the Hair and Makeup Artist for the event.

COVID-19

Due to the current situation with Covid 19 I will need the working area to be well ventilated and that if anyone is presenting with symptoms or temperature it will not be possible to perform services on them.

I will always make sure that I follow all government recommended guidelines.

If you have any questions about this please feel free to ask.

Thank you

PAYMENT: Payments can be made by  bank transfer. A  deposit of 25 % of the total of the bridal services is due at the time of booking. This secures your wedding date and ensures that Adie Brooks/team members turn away other work on your wedding date. The deposit is deductible from the total cost. The final balance of bridal and bridal party services are due one month before your wedding.

Bridal Trial fees are payable on the day to the stylist/s.

Additional Charges: Parking/travel fees must be paid by the Bride if applicable on day of wedding and/or trial. The first 10 miles from the artists postcode is free and after that each mile is charged at 45p per mile.

If you cancel with less than 4 weeks before your wedding, you will not receive back the deposit or final payment. All cancellations must be submitted in written form by email.

IF WE CANCEL: In the unlikely event that Hair and Makeup by Adie is unable to attend on the day due to illness or unforeseen circumstances all efforts will be made to find an alternative stylist/artist to stand in.

If an assisting artist is needed for large parties and they are unable to attend we may ask for an earlier start time to accommodate original numbers or services will be refunded in part or all together.

If Adie or a team member is made to feel uncomfortable in any way, or mistreated, or if anyone becomes abusive/violent for displays any offensive behaviour, we have the right to cancel without refund there and then.

In the event of extreme weather conditions where serious warnings have been issued we will need to discuss safe options/cancellation. Refunds will be given excluding the trial and deposit monies.

SERVICE LOCATION & REQUIREMENTS: The location of hair and makeup services for the day-of-event will be at the Bride’s discretion, but there are certain requirements the artist will need to complete the services. A set-up table/work area/chairs/electrical outlets will need to be made available for the Stylists. Artist will arrive 15 minutes prior to set-up. Please communicate the hotel room number if applicable by email or text.

DELAYS: Please be prepared to start when we arrive. All ladies receiving hair and makeup should have a clean makeup free face and clean dry hair. This is very important so we can stay on schedule, and we can finish applications in the allotted time. I will create a schedule for the day, and will send this by email to the Bride for review. If any of the bridal party is not present at their allotted time and the service cannot be completed it will not be eligible for a refund.

SOCIAL MEDIA & WEBSITE: Photos taken at the trial or your professional photos may be used as examples of our work for future clients to view. Your photographer will receive proper credit for their work. You agree to me using these photos, as well as give consent to using your professional photos on my website/portfolio/social media. I will email you to request these photos and will also reach out to your photographer.

LIABILITY: We take hygiene seriously. All hair/makeup products and brushes are kept sanitary. Any skin condition should be reported prior to the application. Also due to this clause, we are not able to tweeze eyebrows. The client agrees to release the artist from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions.
